Don Mangel

2008 Inductee

If you went to school here at Union City, chances are you have rode on one of this gentleman's buses. Mr. Don Mangel is originally from Pleasantville, PA. However, he came to Union City and has been the director of Mangel's Bus Service, providing safe journeys for our students and athletes. Although Don has been an extremely successful businessman here in Union City, it is for his generosity and dedication to the Union City School District for which he is being honored.

Don has consistently been a sponsor for athletic teams, individuals, and organizations year-in and year-out for Union City. His generous financial contributions toward our school district as well as his undying support our athletic programs is truly a blessing to our school and community. Don allows the school to use "pep" buses so students can support our teams when needed, he generously donates his buses for various field trips for our students, has allowed car washes for our local organizations to take place, and has donated for advertisements in every program you buy at a sporting event in Union City.

Don has been a positive and enthusiastic business patron and has always tried to meet the growing needs of our community. Don has used his resources and talents to make Union City a better place for all to live. Don is a member of the Union City Chamber of Commerce, The 6:20 Club, and The Union City Country Club. We thank Don Mangel for his help and service to our community and welcome him to the 2008 Wall of Achievement Class.
