About the Wall.

The purpose of the Union City Wall of Achievement is to foster and promote the great accomplishments and pride of Union City’s students, athletes, coaches, teachers, administrators, business patrons, and community. Three categories of honor and distinction have been created to encompass several diverse areas of achievement.

Once nominated and voted into the Wall of Achievement, the candidates will be inducted at the first Union City home high school football game of the year. At half time, they will have their biographical sketches read, and their plaques presented to them for their places of distinction on the Wall of Achievement. A plaque with the names of the inductees will be displayed in the high school lobby for public display. A short congratulatory reception will be held before the football game for the public to meet and greet the new inductees.

The Union City Area School District Wall of Achievement was originally conceived by Kurt Anthony. A community committee was formed to cover all points of interest within the community. The Union City Wall of Achievement committee would like to thank three local school district educators, (two were former Union City head football coaches) for their assistance in helping to create this organization. Special thanks is given to the President of Ft. LeBoeuf Hall of Fame Mr. Walley Mahle, General McLane Athletic director Mr. Ken Walker, and Corry Athletic director Mr. Bill West.
